1. Charles KRAUSS was born on 18 Apr 1833 in Werttemberg,
Germany. He died on 28 Mar 1894 in Birds Point, Mississippi Co.,
MO.

An old German by the name of Krauss, of Bird's Point, this county, committed
suicide yesterday forenoon about 10 o'clock by shooting himself. The facts in
the case could not be had up to going to press, but it is thought on account
of ill health. Sheriff Martin telegraphed for Coroner Patterson, but as he was
sick he did not go down. Krauss was about 50 years of age and leaves a wife
and four or five grown children. He had lived at the Point for a number of years
and was highly respected by all who knew him.
He was buried in Rush Ridge Cemetery, Wyatt, Mississippi Co., MO.

Mrs. Elizabeth Krauss, known as "Grandma" Krauss, passed away to the
great beyond Sunday morning, May 11. The funeral was conducted at 10:00 o'clock
Monday morning at the Christian church and interment was made at the I.O.O.F.
cemetery.
She was buried on 12 May 1930 in IOOF Cemetery, Charleston, Mississippi Co.,
MO.

Know All Men By These Presents:
That I, Elizabeth Krauss of the County of Mississippi, State of Missouri
being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this, my Last Will and Testament,
in manner and form following:
I hereby will and give of my estate to my sons Charley Krauss Fred Krauss Phil
Krauss and Wm Krauss and My Daughter Lena Cusic (sic) each equal shares of
my estate Except I give to my Daughter Lena Cusic all of my household Furniture
Fixtures and Kitchen utensils. I further Direct that my Daughter Lena Cusic
shall unlock and open my trunk and that she shall have for herself the trunk
and contents thereof; I further Give to my Grand Sons and Grand Daughters as
follows to Ben Murphey One Dollar to Candy Murphey One Dollar to Lizzie
Murphey Five Dollars to Jake Murphey One Dollar to Susie Murphey Five Dollars
to Beney Murphey One Dollar to Horace Murphey (Note: Charles Henry MURPHY
was nicknamed 'Horse') One Dollar, As I have previously given to my Daughter
Maggie Murphey the mother of the above mentiond grand Children more than an
equal share of my estate;
